Does not have the size or bulk that you look for...Has short arms...Timed speed is below average...Not a top athlete...Isn't real stout at the point...Struggles versus the run...Would have a lot of trouble matching up in coverage..May be a 'tweener.
Notes:
Cousin, Woody Williams, is a pitcher for the Houston Astros...He began his college career at linebacker but moved to the defensive line after redshirting...He isn't big enough to play defensive end but he might not have the speed and athleticism to make the move to linebacker either...Classic overachiever who does not have the physical tools you look for but still finds a way to get the job done...A year ago at this time it would've been unimaginable for Ortiz to get drafted ahead of his more highly-regarded teammate Tommy Blake but that is now a very distinct possibility.
