Strengths:
Decent size with the frame to bulk up further...A pretty good athlete...Does a nice job in pursuit...Good strength and power...A good tackler...Excellent instincts and awareness...Intense and has a terrific motor...Stout at the point of attack and he does a solid job against the run...Hard worker...A leader...Schematically versatile.
Weaknesses:
Timed speed is good but not great...Is not really quick or explosive and he lacks a burst...Not a great natural pass rusher and his repertoire is limited...Wasn't overly productive...Has some health and durability issues...May not have a lot of upside.
Notes:
Uncle Dave Elmendorf was an All-American for the Aggies in football, baseball and academics and went on to an All-Pro career with the Los Angeles Rams...A classic base end who is a bit of an overachiever..Probably profiles as more of a backup in the NFL but he has some talent and the intangibles to potentially be a little more.
