Strengths:
Adequate size and bulk with room to get bigger..Above average speed, quickness and athleticism...Strong and powerful...Gets a good push up the middle...Stout at the point...Does a nice job versus the run...Real intelligent...Still has some upside.
Weaknesses:
Not much of a pass rusher...Doesn't make many impact plays behind the line...Has trouble shedding blocks...Doesn't use his hands well....Raw and has a ways to go when it comes to technique...An underachiever?...Just two years of DI experience.
Notes:
Name is pronounced "oh-GIM-dee new-WOW-bo" ( prefers O.G. )...A transfer from Southwestern College in California....Played nose tackle in college....The Spartans have done a fantastic job of producing NFL defensive tackles like Matthias Askew, Domata Peko, and Clifton Ryan in recent years....Definitely has some talent / tools and may be worth taking a late round flyer on strictly as a developmental project.
