Strengths:
Adequate size and bulk...Decent athleticism and good timed speed...Is active with nice range...Excellent instincts and awareness...Has a great motor and plays with a lot of energy...Does a nice job in space...Can hold his own in coverage...Capable of delivering the big hit...Hard worker..Smart and mature with premier intangibles.
Weaknesses:
Doesn't really play up to his workout numbers...Has trouble shedding blocks...Just an average tackler...Can be too aggressive at times..He doesn't play with a nasty demeanor...Marginal pass rusher...A little overaged...May not have a lot of upside.
Notes:
Older brothers, Ed and Brandon, also played for Brigham Young...Served a Church mission in Toronto, Canada...A pretty good all-around player whose physical tools are passable and gets pushed over the top by doing all the little things...Probably not starting material but can make a roster & contribute..Backup / Special Teamer.
