Strengths:
Natural runner with good vision, patience and instincts...Tough and runs hard...He can break some tackles...Will do some damage inside...Soft hands...Good balance and agility...Hard worker...Team leader and captain....Excellent program pedigree.
Weaknesses:
Average size and bulk...Doesn't have great timed speed and lacks a burst...Is not very quick or explosive...Not a big play threat...Marginal blocker...Was not utilized much as a receiver...Isn't very elusive...Had a very disappointing senior campaign.
Notes:
Only one year of starting experience as a junior in '06...At first glance you see his marginal physical tools and a injury plagued senior year and almost want to write him off, but then you remember that former Gopher running backs such as Marion Barber III, Laurence Maroney, Thomas Tapeh and Gary Russell are currently doing well in the NFL...May get a look in camp due to his intangibles and college lineage.
