Strengths:
Adequate size and bulk...Decent timed speed...Strong, tough and physical...Does a terrific job as a blocker...A very good route runner...Reliable hands...Technically sound and uses his hands well..Can pick up some yardage after the catch...Good instincts and awareness...Durable...Team leader and captain with top intangibles.
Weaknesses:
Isn't very explosive and lacks a burst...Not a big play threat and won't stretch the field vertically...Will struggle to separate...Lets some balls get into his body...Isn't real quick or elusive...Ball security's a issue...Lacks a killer instinct...Limited upside.
Notes:
His cousin Mike Tully won a silver medal in the pole vault at the 1984 Olympics...A classic jack-of-all-trades but master of none...Is arguably the best all-around tight end in this draft when it comes to catching the ball and blocking...Probably profiles as more of a backup in the pros but he does have some starting potential as well.
