Strengths:
Really athletic...Soft, reliable hands...Catches the ball away from his body...Superb body control and ball skills..Runs excellent routes and knows how to get open...Is quick and plays faster than he times...Runs hard after the catch...Is tough and will work the middle of the field...Had a terrific senior campaign..Still has some upside.
Weaknesses:
Size and bulk are just average...Timed speed is adequate but not special...Is not explosive...Won't stretch the field vertically...Gives a good effort but is a marginal blocker...Doesn't accelerate very fast...He's still learning the position to a degree.
Notes:
Was a highly-regarded prep recruit who actually began his college career at wide receiver...Has just three years of experience as a tight end...Was the Trojans top pass catching threat in '07...Already a fantastic pass catcher and is making strides as a blocker...Will never be an elite player at the pro level but has the ability to be a very good all-around starter and possibly even more if he continues to improve.
