Strengths:
Very good size and bulk...Great athlete...Elusive and can make something happen after the catch...Is more quick than fast...Strong and is physical at the line...Is not afraid to work the middle of the field...Has very good awareness...Nice bloodlines.
Weaknesses:
Timed speed is merely average...Does not get a lot of separation...Will drop some balls that he shouldn't...Not a great blocker...Intelligence and concentration have been questioned...Was not overly productive...Upside might be somewhat limited.
Notes:
Cousin Doug West and Uncle Mark West played in the NBA...Brother Tracy Thorpe was a pitcher in the Toronto Blue Jays organization..Had some academic problems and redshirted in '04...Profiles as #3 or #4 / possession receiver at the next level.
